Hi, I'm Emma. I'm the owner of Mrs Connor & co cleaning services!

Our little company has grown and flourished since its establishment in 2020, but you may be asking yourself, where did it all begin? Well, let me tell our story…..

 

 

After having my children, I suffered a major prolapse in 2017 and it took two surgeries to repair it, the 2nd surgery been in 2021. This meant I was physically impaired for 3/4 years while awaiting surgery and then recovering. While I was recovering, I struggled to maintain the house due to my lack of mobility at times and general pain and discomfort so I had to rely heavily on my husband when he came home from work, it was a very difficult time. I had to teach him all the different elements of cleaning the house, from cleaning extractor fans to the oven and even maintaining the carpets, not just the general day to day cleaning.

 

It was there I saw a gap in the market and the opportunity to help people like me who are physically impaired or people like my husband who are missing out on time with their family because they are trying to stay on top of everything.

 

I was still at home in 2020 awaiting surgery so I thought it would be the perfect time to pursue a business course, so I signed up with the local enterprise office’s  “ start your own business  “course. I researched the market and put my business plan together. I didn’t know what to expect when we took the plunge but luckily for us the business grew and evolved. We are now honored to have a team of over 25 staff onboard, covering 12+ areas with plans for more growth and expansion.
